Join us for a day of group sewing efforts to piece quilts for our community partners!
Bring your regular Sew Day supplies, and we’ll have fabric for anyone not wanting to dip into their stash!
The Blocks:
2 ½ inch strips.
-For the first block, you will need five 2 ½ inch by 10 ½ inch strips.
-One strip will need to be a black backgrounded fabric, and the other four can be any color scrap fabric.
-For the second block, it is a log cabin-style block. You will be putting a black background fabric in four of the spots, and the other five spots can use any color scrap fabric. You can refer to the picture of the pattern and finished block to see the example.
-Both blocks will measure 10 ½ inches square.
Can’t make it? Saundi and her committee will be collecting these blocks until August’s guild meeting on Aug. 20, at which point there will be a drawing for a $25 gift card to a local fabric shop (if we have enough participants).
Pizza will be provided.
